An outbound call is an outgoing call made by your sales rep to a potential lead or existing customer. It can be in the form of a cold call to close the sale, or simply following up with a lead. It can also be a survey call or any regular client-nurturing call.


How Does It Work?

From your browser, you can make calls to both your existing contacts and new numbers. With the Conversations outbound feature, you can make a single call or run an auto-dialer to make a large volume of calls. Both actions can be done from the Outbound section in your Novocall Conversations dashboard.




Making a single call



Allow the app to access your speaker and microphone to be able to making calls through your browser.


  • Simply input a number you want to call in the number field. Upon keying in the number, you will see suggested contact that matches the typed in number on the right side of the screen.
  • After you click the dial button, the system will show the call status (connecting, ringing, and connected) and call duration for your better experience.
  • During the ongoing call, you will be able to add/edit the contact information and add notes to the lead.
  • All contacted numbers will be stored as contacts and are accessible on the Contacts page.
  • Outbound call history is accessible in the leads page, at the outbound section.


Running An Auto-Dialer*


Say you need to make calls to a long list of numbers. Dialing the numbers one by one will be a tedious process. With auto-dialer, you can copy-paste the numbers or simply upload a CSV. This way, you can eliminate the manual work and focus on the quality of the conversations.


  • Create outbound campaign and create call sequence by copy-pasting the numbers, or upload a CSV
  • Number validation detect invalid and duplicate numbers to prevent you from wasting your valuable time dialing error numbers
  • Adjust campaign setting: set dial time, between-call time, recording option, and caller ID
  • Add call script
  • Have single or multiple agents to handle campaign
